The Haysden String Quartet was formed in1997 by professional musician friends living in Kent and south London who liked playing together as a quartet so much they wanted to do it more often …
The quartet now enjoys performing together at about sixty or seventy occasions a year: weddings, civil partnerships, receptions, parties, funerals and corporate events. We have played at venues varying from the Imperial War Museum, Woburn Abbey, Claridges, Penshurst Place & Chevening House to a bandstand in a village fair - and lots of gazebos and marquees in back gardens.
The players in the quartet are all experienced musicians who have played in London based orchestras: symphony, ballet, opera, West End shows, the BBC and soundtracks for film & television. Our playing is top class professional standard: music is what we all do for a living, full time.
We can provide an elegant and entertaining atmosphere for your special day, playing music ranging from Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart through to Cole Porter, the Beatles and Blur with an overall classical feel.
We are happy to give friendly advice about suitable repertoire for your function and can arrange pieces to order.
